Well, it has been an interesting coupld of weeks. I can’t and choose not to delve into every nook and cranny of the excitement, but I can tell you that business is beginning to start moving in the right direction. I have a contract lined up for my current boss. Once I get the design down for that one, it should be fairly smooth sailing. My next one is the most exciting though. I could get a contract for a site based out of CA. It’s a little premature, but if I can make it look “professional,” I should be in. The hardest part about this one is the design as well. Very little back end stuff.
That’s about 1/4 of what has happened so far this summer. The rest should be coming out in a couple weeks, so stay tuned to the same bat channel!

Well, it’s officially summer. School is out, kids actually get to sleep in, but are usually up early, days get longer and the humidity is killer.I didn’t really get the grades I wanted, but I don’t really care right now. I’ve got bigger things to worry about—like getting to Ireland, being a better husband, and making money. Again, if you or anyone you know is getting married, Stillwater-Weddings.com is the place to be.
Anyway, I’m really just testing out the new Blogger site, so I really don’t have much to say.
Going to clean the office now.

I know, I know. It’s alwasy tough to say goodbye. But sometimes, it’s not that tough.I finished my last final today at 9 am. As I walked back to my car, I passed the library, the fountain, the Student Union and the Classroom Building. I thought, “I won’t be here much anymore. I won’t see this stuff on a regular basis.” I’ll never have to sit in another classroom and listen to a boring lecture (or an exciting one for that matter). I’ll never have to park 10 miles away and run to class (b/c there’s no parking on campus and I woke up late). I’ll never have to lug my books around all morning, just so I can free up my afternoons for work (or vice versa). I’ll never have to feel like I should brownnose the Prof/TA/Grad student in order to help my grade, and feel guilty when I don’t. All I have to do—the only thing that stands between me and my diploma are 10 books, 10-15 quizzes and a ten-page paper. THAT’S IT!!!
Although I gripe (alot) about school, I will miss some things. Here are a couple, in the order I could think of them:
- Not really being responsible (or, still being a kid)
- Beating Leslie at Double Speed at the coffee shop
- Free pancakes on Finals Week
- Going to IHOP at 2 am
- Saying I go to the best school in the country!
- The O’Colly crossword
- Spring (the guys know what I’m talking about—but it kinda ended with “I do”)
- The campus
- Being able to be somewhat of a slob, and it be okay.
I have to say that it’s been a blast. I am going to be around next year, but not nearly as much. I now have to be an adult. Wish me luck.
