Movin’ On Up
Well, Jen and I are officially moving to Boulder, CO! I know what you’re thinking, but they DO have the internet in CO. So you won’t have to be without me for too long.We went up there this past weekend and found a place to dwell (assuming our rental application and check go through). It’s great. We’ll live in a four-plex with a balcony facing the mountains. Plus, we’re only a couple blocks from a grocery store and the ‘downtown’ area. The shops were great — bookstores, art galleries, t-shirt shops — so much culture. About as much culture as you can get in a 3 block strip. It was so beautiful. The only bad part is that I’m not used to the altitude and was tired most of the time I was up there.
We went by and saw the church where we’ll be attending and Jen will be doing kid’s ministry. It needs a little work, but has unlimited potential. It’s in a residential section, back out of the way. It also has a view of the mountains from the front door (what a great place!).
I also found a job on this trip. A company called HQ is looking to hire me as an assistant manager. It’s a great company that is the perfect fit for me. Basically, they act as a business partner: providing office space, asnwering phones, providing mailboxes (all at a fee). I would be in charge of more of the day-to-day operations.
God has provided us with such a great oppurtunity to further His kingdom. We’re so excited about getting up there and starting. Although, we still have an Ireland trip between now and then!
