Picture Cropping and Other Horrendous Crimes…

I recently joined The FaceBook (you can find people way too easily on there) and I noticed a strange and shocking phenomenon! The FaceBook allows you to post profile pics (as with a lot of other networking sites), but a lot, and I mean A LOT, of the profile pics are pictures with friends cut out of them. You can see one person, usually leaning one way, and then an arm or part of a face of another person! Who is the other person? We don’t know!!! But how would you like to be the person that was cut out of one of those?!
Is Photoshop, Fireworks, or other picture editing software becoming too widely available? In order for this particular crime to cease, I believe Adobe, Macromedia, Microsoft, etc. should jack up the prices of their software so cold-blooded criminals cannot cut their friends out of profile pics! I know that at least 90% (okay, not really a scientific figure) of these crimes would be deterred if this software was not so widely available. Maybe the government could even step in and monitor people’s uses of their computers to make sure they aren’t using bootleg copies of the software. (I know, I’m as disgusted as you are that there are people that don’t actually pay for their software!) Isn’t that what the Patriot Act is for?
