P.O.D.

Payable on Death is one of the hardest working bands in the world. They tour for literally a year and a half straight. Then they spend a year in the studio, just to go back out for another year and a half to promote the album. “Testify” drops Jan. 24th. It’s said to be the best record, “the record of [their] lives.” That is precisely what they set out to do.
From what I understand (and have heard on their myspace page), their won’t be the songs of “The Fundamental Elements of Southtown.” Ever since “Satellite,” P.O.D. has been moving towards the more melodic style. More singing, less screaming. Which, to me, is interesting because Jason Truby (formerly of the heavy-metal Living Sacrifice) joined after “Satellite.” At first glimpse, Warriors thought that P.O.D. was headed back to it’s metal/rap-core roots. However, jazz and reggae has been more infused with the melodics of Jason’s guitar strings. That’s not to say Jason has lost touch with the metalhead inside. P.O.D. has always had a rift that drives them through the record.
I’m very excited and anxious to see what Sonny, Wuv, Traa and Jason have come up with. I’m anxious to hear the balance of rapping and singing, heavy and grooving, thumping and ambient.

I think this is why I haven’t come up with a new design for this site. Besides not having time.
While this site has purpose (a place for Jen and me to post our thoughts), it’s not really defined.
God has definately blessed us lately. It’s really do-or-die at work. We have a big meeting on Thursday. But Jen and I (okay, it was to me, but it’s ours) got a check in the mail for two grand!!! TWO GRAND!!! That’s a 2 with three 0 after it. For doing a website for an anniversary party! I can explain later. Just know that, if you think God doesn’t listen, here’s proof! We expected $200, maybe $300, $500 max. Nope, God provided 10x that!
Got a call from a friend that I haven’t heard from in a while. Go check out his new site and give him lots and lots of money (if you can).
Got another call from another friend while on the phone with the first friend. This one wanted to know my favorite movie because he quoted a line and bet another guy he couldn’t come up with it. Turns out neither could, but I helped them out. It’s Airborne, by the way.
Still getting random pings from our two images. Any help? It doesn’t really bother me in the sense that someone is stealing from me, since I have a ton of bandwidth (thank you Dreamhost). I just don’t like random people messing with pictures of my wife and kid.
Went to Elk City over the weekend. And Taco Factory. Taco Factory has the best fast-mexican-food ever! Seriously. Best. Ever. Dig it.
Let me know you were here before you leave. Seriously.
Google Images

Okay, I’ll admit that I use Google’s image search. It’s great for finding pictures of just about anything. Most of the time, I’ll search for images to get an idea of what I’m looking to create. For example, I’m currenty working on an anniversary site for a couple I’ve only met through my cousin-in-law. I’m wanting to do an old newspaper-themed sight. So I hop on Google.com, search for their local newspapers, hit “images” and see what comes up. I’m looking for color, typeface, and some sort of layout. I simply want to replicate the newspaper to make it feel more personal.
However, since I posted the first set of pictures, I’ve noticed that 2 pictures always are hit on by Google Images. Now, I’m not sure if it’s some sort of bot running around the web. At first, I thought so, but it’s only hit on those two images, and we have over 10 on this site. My next thought was that I put them somewhere on another one of my sites, but it’s shouldn’t show up on my logs as Google. This leads me to believe that those keywords used for the pictures must be very popular on Google. I’m not sure how to check popularity (or if there even is a way). I’m now wondering if my pictures are getting ripped off.
If you happen to see either of these two pictures on anything other than this site, please let me know (although I expect no response whatsoever):

If anyone has any more ideas, please let me know. I’m not losing sleep over this or anything, but it’s very curious to me.
