In Need of Repair

If anyone still reads this thing, you know that this hasn’t been updated in about a year or so. Fortunately for you (yes, the you. the one person reading this), I’ve been bitten with the podcasting bug and am working on getting a new design and infrastructure set up for audio (and maybe video podcasting).

“Ad Free since 05”
Doesn’t have much of a ring to it, but that’s okay.
If you haven’t noticed, ALL of Gooooooogle’s ads are gone. Even the Firefox one that would bundle the Goooooogle toolbar with a browser that already has a searchbar embedded.
Let’s face it. Ads are annoying. At least Gooooogle would allow the webmaster to make a little dough for helping spread the word. However, it just didn’t fit this site. Yeah, we earned a little money ($5.50) but you don’t get paid until you are owed $100. I guess it really only works for sites that attract a lot of users (this isn’t one) and users who are dumb enough to click on the Goooooogle ads (which we don’t again).
So, I have freed the chains of The Man (yes, even Gooooooogle is The Man sometimes) and we’ll continue to be ad-free (until it becomes profitable to place ads on here once again). So, go ahead, use the Search without being taken away from SR. Click on any link in the sidebar and you’ll be whisked away to a trusted place. Eventually, I’ll get a Firefox button on here to keep my “Does Not Validate” badge company so you can download the greatest browser in the history of the Multigalactic Al Gore-created Internet!

Lost Cause

Can I just say that I LOVE the fact that Chris writes a post about Not writing a post about computers and tech stuff at like midnight last night and then turns around and makes the tech post the very next afternoon! Yeah, thats just who he is and I am learning to accept him the way he is.
Things I’M excited about: My cute nerdy husband that just can’t help himself.
